Good question, we'll learn together. Are you thinking of using an 03 Sport Trac rear in a 99 Explorer?
The rear axles and total length will be the same. I know that the rear brakes got slightly bigger along then in the Sport Trac and Sport. The V8 rears that came in the 96-01's will have an extra suspension bar, some call them traction bars. I don't know if there is anything else different. Regards,
My main concern is the width.I would think bigger brakes would be a plus. But hopefully someone that has had some expierence in this swap will chime in.OH and it is a 03 Sport Trac rear going in a regular 98 Explorer. Thanks again....
