I have a 04 XLT and on my way home today the rear end suddenly shifted to the left, almost like I thought the wheel was going to come off. I was only a couple miles from home so I limped it home about 10 mph. I got it into the garage and noticed the passenger rear wheel tilted way out on the bottom. I jacked it up and as I was pulling the wheel off I noticed everything pulled toward me a good inch and a half or better, the wheel, the rotor, and the axle shaft, everything. Just wondering what you think I might have broke? Definantly not a mechanic but I do what I can to save a little money. Any help would be appreciated.

can you tell if the axle is broken? Is this 4 wheel drive?

How about the wheel bearing? :dunno:

More than likely the wheel bearing broke loose, but if that's not the problem there is a rear suspension link they've been going bad lately from rust and wear. When I got mine replaced last year there was a national back order on them from the dealer, but I'm sure now they have them in stock.
