im putting a 4.6 motor and transmission from an f-150 into my 98 explorer and was wondering what would I have to change concerning the rear end? Advice is greatly appreciated

It would depend mainly on driveline connections. Ex used flanged U-joint yokes bolted to a mating coupling on either the rear axle pinion or the transfer case output. If F-150 used similar, no sweat. Otherwise, a variety of schemes are possible to hook up a driveshaft in the Ex. imp

Well I was just trying to see would I have to change the rear end at all? Could I just keep the same one
 












The rear end is nothing, the engine is a monster(literally and figuratively).
