Had a weird problem last night which has me concerned. While driving on the highway, partially snow covered and R E A L L Y windy out, traveling about 75 kph, the back end of the 98 Ex started to swing out slightly on me. It did this three times and was at a constant crusing speed, no tapping of the gas pedle at all. It was almost like the back drivers side wanted to go faster then the front. Could this have been the wind playing tricks with the 4 x 4 by lifting the truck up enough to think it was on ice?
The truck was in Auto 4 x 4 as well.
Thanks for any help.

sounds liek the wind was jsut extreme... sounds to be a common case of a very broadsided vehicle, not allowing wind to pass around it

My boss’ Navigator does this. I drove it one time to drop him off in the airport while snowing and it did exactly what you described above. His problem- he needed new tires.

In 4x4 auto that will happen, it does not apply equal power to the front and rear axles. I use 4x4 high on snow covered roads and it doesn't happen.
