Rear Fog Light(s)
IMO, it's a great feature because regular red illumination lights in the tail lights aren't bright enough when you are driving in rain or fog. With the fog light on, you can see the car sooner so Todd, if you can rig this up, then you da man!! But be sure to install a switch because having it on all the time is actually annoying. Only use it in the rain or heavy fog. heh...I believe it's illegal to use the rear fogs in Europe also when the weather is fine so install a switch.
I would love to mount one in the bumper, but thats a little more work that what I want to do at this time. It will definetly be on a switch and only used in inclimate weather. Thanks for the postive attitude ;)

J. C. Whitney sell small LED light units that I used as rear fog lamps on a Sable. They fitted under the rear bumper with the supplied 3M sticky pads and worked really good. The units were sold as 3rd brakelight units.

Part #ZX830680R in the link. Those looks just like the ones I used.
