We get a lot of fog around here, so I wired one of my backup lights into a rear fog light. The socket accepts a 3156 bulb, so I used a red 3156 LED bulb. However, this particular model bulb still only outputs about 3 CP, so it only is as bright as the tail light bulb. I need it to be a LOT brighter. I wanted to use LED to reduce the heat and power draw. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone has an idea of a manufacture of a bright bulb? Has anyone used the 3156 Hyper Red from Jam Strait? Also, can a 3157 bulb be made to access the "brake light" portion in a 3156 socket? Or anyone have any other cool ideas?
