rear hatch replacement

Well a long story short i was towing a friends 88 blazer from a mud pit and his tow hooks bolts sheared off causing a tow hook to hit the hatch at about 30000 MPH. It has a huge gash and dent around the explorer emblem. I need a new hatch. I have a 99 sport. Where can i get the shell of it with NOTHING on it. How much am i looking at to spend. He gave me 400 bucks for my troubles of getting him out of the woods at 1 in the morning and hopefully that will cover the hatch cost. Also if anyone has one in blue i will pick it up no questions asked.

I will get pictures as soon as i can get them hosted. I hate body work. Bondo is my worse nightmare.

yeah Bondo sucks, but there are good body fillers out there and there is a nice write up as to how to do decent body work. The thread is stickied to the top of the body work and detailing section.

I know how to do body work all tooooo well. I previously owned a 91 acura integra that i re-did the whole exterior and cleaned up the engine bay of wires. Sanding in a corner just so it is smooth for paint is the biggest ***** ever. I will have the picture on here tomorrow when there is more light out.
