rear leaf spring problem

I have a 1998 explorer that I did a spring over and after about a month of off roading the rear springs deached to the point of hitting the frame. As anyone run into this and do you know a fix. I was thinking of trying the f-150 spring swap but I don,t if it will work with spring over set.

What do you mean by detached? Do you mean that a few leaves have splayed out? If so, you can use u-bolts welded to the bottom spring or put on replacement spring clamps.

They sagged or dearched to the point that the springs were hitting the frame.(upside down smile Lol.)I was told it was because of axle rap, seeing the the springs were made for under axle and not strong enough for over axle torque. I extended my torque bars from the factory to try in help but no luck,

My springs flatten out under acceleration but still have arch to them. Maybe a "new" junkyard set of springs from a explorer with less miles will help. I dont know your budget, but thats where i would start.

Try another junkyard set... make sure they are 4 door and not 2 door. Ive turned several sets into W's but never had any sag so bad that i sit on the bumpstops.
