I have a 95 4 door explorer and beacuse the leaf springs are under the axle, does this mean i cant use lifting blocks and have to get new shacles for a lift in the back. They dont happen to make any shacles bigger than the warriors?

the warriors are as big as you would safely want to go as far as lift....

you are right, you cant use blocks on an spring under axle, it will lower the vehicle

if you wnat 5" of lift, yuo can do an SOA conversion with new spring perches or the superlift brackets

tons of info about all the above mentioned stuff in the suspension forum and useful threads forum.... do a search on it

there are plenty of options for the rear end but how much lift are you going for?

as much as possible for the littlest amount of money. i would also like to do all this myself.

MIKE do a SOA conversion... easy as $hiT that will give you around 5" thats what i am doing.... then you can do an ad a leaf or blocks or whateva... the front should be your concern.... new spindles and so on.. i am doing 3" spindles and twistin those torsions up 3" , I ave the sport so i am not sure your 4 door will rise 3" from the torsions.... Also mike if you find out anything on gettin the heith out of the front let me know... I would much rather not twist the torsions for the heith but it seems to be my only option

Lifting the rear should be your last concern. You need to figure out exactly how much lift you need/want, then figure out how you are going to lift the front that much. The rear can, literally, be an afterthought.

for a 4x4 the only way to gain enough lift to equal the rear soa is the real ifs suspension lifts......

and for SKIN: there is no way to get mroe lift out of the front without doing the tbar crank on a 4x2.... unless someone decides to get a custom fabbed long travel ;)

right now i am looking for a cheap way to get 2 inches higher so i can put 31's on with some extra clearance room

put on lift shackles, if that isnt enough put an add a leaf...

after i got all this on, i was going to do a 3 inch bodylift. how hard do you think it would be for me to do it. I am 16 and have a little experience working with cars. Do they even make bodylifts for a 95 XLT because it is hard to find any info on them.

My bad MIKE all these guys know what there talking about after all they all know me as askin all the questions a week ago.... tHIS SITE IS AWSOME AND ALL THESE GUYS ON HERE ARE VERY HELPFULL... They have saved me tons of money... Thanks guys :) okay back to your thread.. ( sorry )

im 16, me and a friend who is also 16 are putting on my add-a-leafs tomorrow tired of the sagging rear end and later this mmonth we will be putting on my shackles and body lift just me and him. he has all the right tools and a big garage so that helps alot. its not that hard. im waiting on money for the 33's right nowonly a couple more paychecks! :D

I have a a 95 explorer as well and i bought a 3inch body lift for a 95-97 ranger PA #853. It is suppose to be the correct one for our model. The only problem will be the bumpers but there are templates on the site to fix that.

does anyone sell a prodouc that can replace the bushings between the leaf springs to get a little lift out of it.
