Rear Liftgate Replacement?

Does anyone know if the rear lift gate on a 97 Sport could be replaced with one off of a 98+? Also how about the tail lights? They look the same and I was just curious if anyone had tried this with any success.

yes.. there was a post about this earlier this year I beleive, the guy found one from a junkyard, you hafta do some wiring modificaitons, a new bumper, and new taillights, but it is possible I beleive was the final word.
