Rear middle seat won't fold down

So, a few days ago, I went to fold down my rear seats and the middle one seems to be stuck. I have seen where the cables get stretched out in people's seats, but I don't think thats the case. When I pull on the latch, the latch won't come up, almost like the cable is stuck or something. Anyone else have this problem?

I had the same problem with my '02, The only way to get the middle seat down was to push backwards on it and pull up the latch. I could not find anything to lubricate or adjust so i deal with it like it is.

I tried to push backwards while pulling up, but mine is REALLY stuck. I am considering taking the middle seat out and trying to either fix it, or find a new one.

Taking it out to get to the latch sounds like a good idea, even though the two seats on either side will fold out of the way, that still does not give you much room.
