Rear Monroe Quick Struts Very Bouncy????

Contacted Monroe. They stated that they've discontinued the variable rate spring. So I'll be warranting out both sides. Or go with KYB....

I have made OReilly's take back Monroe's to go KYB and I have made AutoZone take back Gabrial's to go KYB, lol.

Chances are that if your OEM springs weren't broken and oil wasn't leaking, then they were just fine. Despite what the shock manufacturers and auto parts stores tell you, they don't need to be replaced at 60,000 miles. I've seen 200,000 mile shocks that were fine and rode the same as new aftermarket stuff.

My springs were fine at 170K but 3 of 4 struts were totally dead. So I replaced struts only and kept the springs.

I'd think springs can go bad while visually looking okay. They don't have to break to go bad, they can lose tension and sag.

No sagging here. Even with the entire rear filled with firewood!
