On the forum someone wrote this job is easy,
I can't see how to get at the 2 top nuts of the shock
without taking the body off help please !
The shocks were purchased from a guy on E-Bay for
$25.00 each. The total cost was $190 and delivered via
UPS in 2 days from CANADA
The problem was on the sales docket he put the value down has
$190 not $50 so i had to pay £35.00 import duty If ordering
any try and point this out to him. I noticed he has hundreds of these
for sale at $25.00

Just done mine to paint them.
Get the rear as high as you can. I put mine on ramps and then jacked it up higher using blocks of wood on a trolley jack. Then put axle stands under for safety.
Remove the spare wheel. You can then comfortably sit upright underneath. The nuts are 13mm.

if LPG tank is in the way. my one is so i cut access holes in floor then fitted cover with silicon and self tappers if i have to change them again it will be easy. cheers Chris

Need some help please
The new shocks are fitted but i
can not see any difference from the old ones
There does not seem to be any damping to the springs
Is there any settings that should have been carried out
before fitting. The compressor does work and the back
end looks has it is rising.

Cheers BB

Hey BB
In general duty the new ones will not give any noticable difference unless your old one were leaking, in which case it will hold the set level more easily and the compressor will cycle less.
If the rear has a sag then this is most likely sagging springs.
One thing you could try is first check the load sensor is connected (they have a habit of popping off when the ball rusts and loses a layer), it runs from o/s of diff to the underside of the body. once you know this is connected then turn off the system (switch in the boot cubby above the jack) and jack the rear end up so both wheels are off the ground. Leave up for 10 mins then lower to the ground and switch back on. This resets the system and may bring you up.
If this doesn't work then best option is to get some longer shackles made up along with a little plate to raise the fixing point of the sensor.
KevP does some that add about 2" to the rear.
