rear side window about to fall out!

the right hand side, rear fixed window on my 98 4 door eddie bauer explorer is about to fall out on me!

when i turn my stereo up, it rattles horribly, and at the top center of the window, it flexes outward about half an inch, with the weather stripping moving a little farther. the left hand side, rear window doesnt really move.

is securing the window just a matter of replacing the weatherstripping glue, or something more?

i would think that the weather stripping and glue would have to be replaced and window reinstalled but not sure. you may want to call a glass shop and see what they say or maybe someone will post with knowledge of this

Rear quarter glass on a 2nd gen is just bolted in, not urethaned

Yep, it's bolted in. Since you say you have a big stereo I would pull the interior trim off to expose the bolts and see if you have any loose from all that rattling. If not I can't imagine it would be hard to remove the window and replace the weather stripping around it.
