Ok I am going to buy new speakers for the rear of my sport. I know alot of people put in 6x9's but I have MB quart components in front, and love them. What are the pros and cons of putting them in the rear too. If I did do that where do I put the tweeters? Thanks guys,
Jason

I'd get a set of components of the same company and model/series..then ya make a plate to match the stock location...there you mount the tweeter and component driev...I've done it and it sounds great!
Just my 2 cents of advise...Pete

6x9 won't fit.

You won't be able to fit 6x9's with out some serious trimming. 6x8 and 5x7 will fit perfectly as will 5.25" and maybe 6.5" I am not sure on those. The problem with putting a component set in the rear is that the best car audio systems produce the image of a "front stage" where it sounds as if the sound is coming off your hood or dash board. If you put a component set in the rear you will be hearing higher notes from behind your ears thus not creating the front stage. Also mounting the tweeters in the rear is a pain. You have to do some drilling and may have to remove the entire rear panel. In the end it's all a matter of taste. If you buy from crutchfield you have 30days to try a speaker out. If you end up buy a component set for the rear use velcro to mount the tweeters in various locations to decide where you want to drill.
