To get to the rear sunroof drains I need a torx screwdriver to move the sunroof up a bit. Anyone know what size torx screwdriver?

Anyone know how to access these drains from the top? Where do they exit from the bottom? I could run some weedeater line up from the bottom or a few puffs of air.

Still can't find the bottom exit location but will try this, as I'm getting water towards the middle and rear on both sides, now that it's finally raining in Houston. Moonroof Drain hoses c/w diagram

I had mine clog, water poured from the roof paneling. The FWD ones drain into the wheel well area, front fenders, I believe you can see the rear one from the back hatch when it is open.

Cool thanks, yeah I had seen that grommet hole on the top right of the back hatch but never knew what it was for.

I'd be careful with compressed air because you might pop the hoses off the connectors or even burst them if the clog is bad enough.

I'd also rather run string trimmer line in through the top, so whatever you get out, is not now sitting in the sunroof drain channel where more rain could wash it back into the hoses. On the other hand, it might still be easier to clean it out more often, rather than take the sunroof loose to get to the top.

Got the moonroof moved up, it was easy, 8x 8mm bolts and kind of shimmied it forward, and yeah the driver's side rear drain was clogged, ran some trimmer line through it about 3 ft, then some hot water / vinegar and cleared it up. Will post a pic later of what came out and try the passenger side.

Passenger side was mostly clogged up. Jammed some trimmer line from both ends and got some crud out of the rear hatch drain. More crud from the driver side. I've had some fans in it all day so hopefully this is the end of it for awhile.

Well done! Front right drain fubar on my 03tried air nada,
Trimmer line goes 18” and stops dead.
I will be dropping the headliner… fun fun!

Try warm-hot soapy water, I used that and it eventually broke it free.

... or an enzymatic drain cleaner (instead of acid or caustic based which could harm bare metal).

I also thought about the possibility of taking some of that trimmer line that has the sharp edges instead of round, and cutting the tip at an angle, coating it with dish detergent, then either by hand or in a slow RPM cordless drill, rotating it when resistance is met, using it like a mini-pipe-snake/auger.
