Hello all. I recently purchased a 97 limited 5.0 Explorer. The pass rear shackle is rotted out . I ordered new shackles for pass and driver sides, and new shocks. Is there anything other that the bushings that I should change at this time since im going to be under the truck? I am new to trucks. Also, the interior lights stay on for like 15 minutes when I lock the truck. I don't have a manual to look this up, but it there a timer I can set somehow? All input is appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

May as well replace the 3rd shock in the back while you are there!! It is the little one in front of the passenger side rear axle.

The interior lights may be controlled by the little slide bar on your rear view mirror. If the slide is all the way to the left then the auto option is off......sliding it to the right turns the auto option on and increases the length of time (up to 5 minutes) that the headlights and interior lights will stay on after you exit the vehicle.

Hmm, I have it all the way to the left and the int light stay on for like 10 min. But ty, ill look into that. I priced the lil shock today at 40 bucks, so Ill be doing that as well as frnt shocks and ball joints in the next couple o weeks. The front clunks alot, so I think that will fix it.
