H, i saw you did the rear tensioner a while ago, is it a big job ? am gonna tackle the front one and inlet manifold gsaskets tomorrow but just wondered if made it any easier to get to the rear tensionor while i was doing the front one ? if so i'll hold off and order the rear one and do them both at once,

There seems to be lots of info on doing the front one but not on doing the rear one!

cheers

There are actually a couple of posts back towards the end of last year on the rear one explaining everything that has to be done - one from myself and the other, I think from H. I would definitely suggest doing the rear, although it is a completely seperate job from the front, as you go in from under the wheel arch. Not a difficult job. If you can't find any info, let us know and I will have a trawl back tomorrow. All you need is a 27mm socket, preferably with a 3/4" drive, and a long extension so you can get on the head nice and squarely. It needs one hell of a heave to shift it.

cheers, have found your post now from last year, makes it a lot easier when you can search by poster:)

Hope all goes well with the work - it is well worth the effort.
