Hey all, I would like to start off by saying thank you everyone for all the help you have givin me already. OKay now onto the question alright i have a BANGING system and the combo of the system and the extream heat on the windsheild and frosty cold AC on the inside the mirror jus shook right off metal peice and all. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get that metal peice out so i can re attach the mirror. All help is welcomed thank you. Eric Cotter

I had the same problem when I had my system. The little metal piece does NOT come off according to Binswanger glass. You cant just go to ford and get an OEM mirror? Worse case scenario... you have to get a new windshield and tell the people not to put the metal piece on. The little metal piece is a one time deal (according to Binswanger) and once its on, it STAYS on. Good luck man.

it is epoxied on, they come off... when i got my new windshield put on, they put the wrondg piece becuase my truck had one already for a jeep..... but they reused my X mirror after they took of the metal piece and put on a different one.... with all of the vibration my X saw. it didnt fall off in the 2 months i drove it.... it is some strong epoxy, but is still glue nonetheless

The binswanger people must have been giving me a line then.... this was when i had my old car before i was on this site. Too bad i didnt find out earlier about this site.... I guess i was W-R-O-N-G... There i said, im wrong!.... Ill admit... thanks for looking out for me jim
