I'm somewhat new to this board eventho ive been reading it for quite sometime now. I just got a 95 XLT but the rear windows (both of them) won't roll down. The motor doesn't even seem to be attempting to work and when I hit any of the switches in the car to roll them down, the lights dim. I dont know if its a grounded wire or what? If this has happened to anyone else, please respond, any ideas/information would be greatly appreciated!

my dr rear window does that from time to time. if i jiggle the switch 10 or 15 times fast, it will work. you could try taking the switches apart and cleaning the contacts. good luck.

I'll try that... thanks... American Pie 2 was laugh ur @$$ off good... a must see IMO

You might try pushing on the window as you try to open it. Mine were stuck for a while because when it got hot here the rubber kind of fused to the window. After I got it loose it started working fine.

Good Luck,
Mike

I got my rear-windows working! It seems that the metal track that the window runs up and down on had gotten so hot that the plastic peice that runs on the track kind of melted to it. I banged on the arm and the track for about 15 seconds while holding the switch down and it came loose. Then I coated it with some grease. Hopefully it wont do it again.

P.S. - My 89 F150 had problems with the window internals binding up... It got to be a major pain in the butt, but i quickly learned how to remove the door panle in under 30 seconds. :cP Oh well, hope this helps some people!
