ive got the battery drain problem that many others have. I searched the site and the web.

does anyone know which fuse to disconnect in order to stop the rear wiper from draining on the battery even as the car is off? i already disconnected the rear wiper motor and the clicking noise (when the car is off) is now coming from the front dash. wth!?

thank you so much in advance!

Here is some info from my owner's manual. If you don't have an owner's manual, Dead Link Removed.

I apologize for the size of the pics but I wanted you to be able to see them.

There are 2 fuses related to the wipers/washers in the fuse panel located in the passenger compartment. #8 is a 30A Fuse for the front & rear washer relays and the front wiper control. #9 is a 15A Fuse for the rear wiper coil and contact:

There is a relay related to the wipers in the rear relay box located on the rear quarter side passenger trim panel. To access this box you must remove the trim panel. #17 is the rear wipers relay:

Hope this helps out. :biggthump

Check the wires between the top left corner of the glass and the lift gate. If you open the rear window portion of the lift gate and look to the upper left you will see a plastic wire mold about 8 inches long. Mine had broke in that section inside the wire mold. I open my back window a lot and over time, the wire bending back and forth broke into. A couple just had the sheathing broke and if yours are touching all the time, could be your problem. This fixed my rear defroster, wiper and washer fluid problem.
