Rear wiper

The rear wiper on my 96 explorer seems to only work ont 60% of the arear it should (does not whipe top), Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a fix, because its been this way since i bought it.

Very common problem. Same on my 2000. Search past posts on the subject for suggested fixes.
 






There is a mod that solves this problem. As the other guy said, use the search function and you'll find it. I used a Dremel to do mine.
 












Indeed, grind down the fingers that stop the arm from flexing far enough. Pics are in the gallery linked in my signature.

I hate to change the subject or piggy back off the origional thread, but I had a quick question for you guys about rear wipers: Mine was vandalized and I wasn't too woried about replacing it until it downpoored rain the last couple days. Now with a mix of mud, rain and tint, I can't see out my back window at all. Has anyone had any success with finding replacement blades that will snap onto my '97? My local Kragen had one, but it didn't mount right...needed some kind of adaptor. Sorry again for stealing the thread! :navajo:
