My ~ 250k miles 1998 4x4 Sport (SOHC 4.0) is starting to smoke a little now and then so I think she's about run out and will need a rebuild soon.
Any suggestions on upgrades I should consider while it's out for a rebuild ? I don't care about horsepower; I'm happy with the power it's got. I'm more interested in MPG.
Are there aftermarket cams available for this engine ? I'm guessing some headers would help a little too. I don't have any exhaust inspections to deal with here in Arkansas.
