Rebuilt Tranny for 97 SOHC

30 days ago I had the 5sp auto tranny rebuilt after 120K miles. Since then I've noticed that when rolling to a stop there is what feels like a hard downshift from whatever gear into first. I've also noticed that the shifts seem firmer/harsher that before. I need to take it back to the shop 30-45 days after the rebuild for their standard checkup.

Any suggestions of what it could be?

I am sure others are like me, I have no good clue, and hate to just guess. Since you have it under some warranty, I'd let THEM figure it out. I know you were just looking for some ideas, but honestly, I have none for the 5R specifically. Some obvious generic possibles are band adjustments and system oil pressure high. Sorry I'm not more help.
