Received MFT Package today!

I received the MFT package today including the navigation update.

A note to those about to upgrade. I inserted the USB and after confirmation that it was loading I locked the doors and went inside to eat dinner.

I didn't realize that I needed to stay put until the program loaded into memory and then press OK to start the upgrade process.

So insert the USB drive and wait for it to ask for confirmation to start the upgrade process before leaving the vehicle.

Everything installed fine and I am liking the new layout.

Mine took about 45 minutes total. You don't have to sit in the car the entire time. After you insert the USB, wait a few minutes for a screen prompt asking if you want to start the install. Click "ok". It will then run the install for the next 40 minutes or so. It will cycle through several screens and reboot the system a couple times. At the end you will be prompted again and have to hit "ok" on two screens and then complete.

Yes, the car must be left running for the entire upgrade. The good news is, even though you start the upgrade parked, you can drive it around the rest of the time while it does its thing.

I received my MFT package yesterday. I will do the upgrade this Saturday and do a follow up post.

I did my upgrade Saturday morning and it went smoothly. The only little hiccup was that my radio came on during the update then it went out when the system rebooted itself. I have to say the system definitely works smoother.

MFT Performance Upgrade

Installed my upgrade last week took about 1 hour everything worked! Yesterday morning got in my EX to go to work and a complete screen of scrambled mess. No nav, no radio, no clock, and the phone bars showed up where the clock is in the top middle. Same thing yesterday afternoon. Got home turned off the car abd went to get the blue package to reinstall the upgrade. Restatred the car and got the black screen. Then I got the SYNC
Microsoft message scheduled maint. Working again without issues today. My EX was made in Dec 2011 and have no issues like this before no problem with MFT till this. Has anyone else had a failure?
