My buddy and I went out to get our trucks dirty at Rowher Flats 2 weeks ago after it rained. The trail was significantly more difficult as the rain had made the ground very loose and rutted and the clay very sticky.
My draggin' tail is really starting to show now, as my leaves are further sagged from off roading and the shackles. Hopefully I will have the OME springs in time for Truckhaven.
In picture 11 of my buddy's black GC straddling a shallow but very steep and low traction rut, his Michellin Cross Terrains would not hold a line. They kept getting caked with the clay like dirt there and slip right into the rut. There was ZERO traction in the rut. You can even see in that picture right in front of his truck where he had to back up and plowed a divot in the ground with his diff, perfect for growing corn
. He went out a week later and now has 31" BFG M/T's.
My tires were getting caked with the clay too and causing me to lose traction frequently. I need M/T's too soon or a front locker.
