Recliner lever wont stay attached to seat

I have a 96 Ford explorer Eddie Bauer edition. The lever for my driver side seat to recline wont stay attached to the seat. I've able to re-attach it but whenever I get out of the car my leg always pushes against it and the lever always just eventually falls off. Would anyone know a way I could rig this to stay attached to my seat like it should? i'd appreciate any help I could get, thanks

Well mine is a little different from the one in the link and other threads I’ve seen. The way mine works is that those two bolts they refer to go through a piece of plastic, the more you turn the bolt clockwise the wider it makes the plastic piece to apply pressure to the mount on the frame. The problem is that it’s plastic, so it doesn’t stay in place for very long every time I turn the bolt to widen the plastic piece.
