RED light on dash

I just drove my new 2006 Exlorer tonight for the first time and there is a red light that is flashing in the middle of the dash after I have parked in my driveway. Ihave looked in the opertors manual and cannot find out what this is. What is this light?

It's the anti-theft indicator.... the second-gens had a flashing red 'THEFT' light in the instrument panel. They moved it out on the dash, probably because it's more visible out there.

Yeah it's much more visable now for sure
