First post with new username... I haven't been to the site in so long, I forgot my old username.

I successfully replaced my stock mirror, but have no idea how to get the door panel BACK on the door. I can see the tabs on the door and the hooks for them on the panel, but how the heck does one get all of them lined up?

slip the top edge of the panel over the edge of the "window slit" in the top of the door (be sure to hook up mirror and master control panel). let the door panel hang. It should at this point be fairly close a little adjusting back and forth and it should line up easily.

I have had my panel off multiple times tracing broken wires and fixing the master control panel lights.

pull those tabs completely out of the door (carefully as not to break them) and put them into the slots on the door panel first. Then slip the top edge over, push in the clips working from top to bottom. I know those clips are a bioch to line up if you leave them in.

My clips never stayed in the door, they always came off on the panel. I can see how they would stay in the door, it's just never happened to me.

Thanks for that reply with that issue I have never had. It's good to get multiple people chiming in.

I've pulled the panels on both of mine and only about 1 out of 3 actually came out when I pulled the panels each time. Since the clips slide into the panel in different directions, I figured that what where his confusion lied. It frustrated me too my first time.

Ditto... put the clips back on the door and it's MUCH easier. :)

Does anyone know where you can get those little plastic clips if they get really worn out?

Dealer, sometimes you can get them at auto parts stores, but rarely. Try fastpartsnetwork too since they are a site sponsor. I have also gotten a lot of ford parts through team ford

Yeah I've already checked out the fastpartsnetwork site and found some things that I had been looking for. What a great site! I'll look on the team ford site as well. Thanks for the help.
