I removed the LCA's on my Mounty without reading any how-to's first. I disconnected everything that mounts to the LCA then removed the two LCA bolts and slid it off of the torsion bars. I did not mark where the Tbars sat in the LCA's (kicking myself in the rear) Unlike all of the how-to's I didn't loosen/relieve pressure on the Tbars.

I am getting ready to reinstall all of the front end and I think I am going to have a problem lining up the tbars correctly in the hex hole of the LCA. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here...how should I reinstall the LCA? Thanks

If it matter there was a 3" TT that I wanted to bring down an inch or so

Look at the front of the torsion bar, there are letters on it and a L/R marking. Those letters should be upright when the LCA is installed. Place the bar in the control arm so that those letters are legible with the arm level. Any other clocking of the bar will not install properly.

The LCA should be installed with it at a downward angle to the ground of say 45 degrees. In that position the rear of the torsion bar will be near to where it sets in the rear mount. Leave the adjuster bolt out or almost out of its cross bar. Place the bar in there properly, with the LCA angled down, then raise the LCA up into place. Using the floor jack under the LCA works well to get the UCA into the spindle.
