Relay Question

That relay box below the air box, what relays are in there? I don't have fogs or drl (i think). But there is one relay in that box. All the others are empty. It's the thrid from the front and I pulled it out and there is no current running to any of the contacts wth? Do I just have an extra relay or what?

Just leave it in there. It is probably for the rear wiper or something. If it isn't broken, don't mess with it.....

I think that you can get a CD for your 2001. You will be able to find any relay or circuit using the EVTM (electronic and vacuum troubleshooting manual).

The relay box you are asking about is Aux Relay Box #2 according to my EVTM for my 97. My diagram says there are locations for three large relays and two small relays. One of the large relay locations isn't used (the one on the left in diagram). The two large relays are the Blower Motor Relay and the High Speed Blower Relay. The two smaller relays are the Fog Lamp Relay (you don't have) and the Front Washer Relay.

Of course you have a 2001, so things could be changed but I would bet that the relay you have is probably one of the ones listed above.

You could check by removing it and trying to operate windshield washer and/ or heater blower motor.
