Remanufactured Transmission Question

Has anyone bought a transmission from Shift Rite Transmission out of Illinois. 5R55S 2002-2010 4.0L 4X4/AWD TRANSMISSION REMANUFACTURED FORD. They have a good price and I've read some good things on the web. But have not seen anything about there transmissions for an explorer. Just curious.

I would search under Explorer_PL.

I think he bought his rebuilt through Shift Rite Trans.

I looked on the bbb and found a few other forums and heard good things.. the bbb only had 4 complaints since 2008 and they have closed them all and have an A rating with bbb. i check into them after seeing your post and thought i would check them out since i live in Illinois about 2 hours away, i have 3 of these transmissions in my cars now, only a matter of time till one of these are going to give me an issue...i could not find anything bad about them. call them to see what type of parts and how they repair issues like bore sleeves, valve bodies and so on ....hope this helps ...they also have the best price i can find in the area where i live....

Good choice!!!

I successfully made the 290 miles from LA to Vegas with my Explorer yesterday. Transmission work perfectly. Let's see if I make the trip back to my home...
