remote entry 94 xlt

I got a 94 ford xlt a few months ago, but it didnt come with a keyless entry remote. What im wondering is if its standard in the xlt, or how to find out if my car has it or not. thanks in advance

Having the remote is one way I'm not sure where the brain would be, but chances are you don't have it if you didn't get a remote. You can check in the floor jack compartment but I don't think you've got it.

mine dosent and i have a 94 xlt (it has been in the family since new) so if there was a keyless i would know

I'm pretty sure keyless entry was only standard on the Limited, and I may be wrong there. If you don't have a remote you don't have keyless entry.

I don't think keyless came on first gens. If your '94 has an aftermarket alarm, then the remote was probably just lost. Otherwise, if you want keyless entry you'd need to have it installed.

The (1994) Limiteds might have had keyless. But I am not sure. I'm thinking no. I'd like to know if Crankcase knows...he seems to know that kind of stuff...

the only reason i even asked is because i saw a 94 xlt keyless entry remote on Ebay, so it just got me curious if when i bought mine if the remote was just lost prior.

My 94 X came with a factory keyless remote but it was part of an upgraged lighting package. Included in the package was also the day/night rearview mirror with automatic headlights and auto dim and the anti-theft alarm system. The map lights may have been included in this also as well as a few other things that I don't remember.
