remote entry not working

Out of nowhere my keyless remote quit working. thinking it was the battery I replaced it, still doesnt work. I took the remote apart nothing looks out of place. does anyone know about buying a new one and getting it to work in my car. 02 sport trac- Thanks, Ron

Did you only have 1 remote? Try the programming sequence again.
Turn your ignition switch from "OFF" to "ON" 8 times, the locks will cycle, press any remote button and the locks should cycle again, turn switch off.

I also have a 4 Button remote that works my 98 F150, 99 Mustang, 01 & 02 Sport Tracs, 08 E250, my Mom’s 05 Escape an my uncles 03 F150. Therefore I suppose the above 3 button list, in it’s entirety, applies to this 4 button remote also.

fixed, I did the key cycle and pushed the remote. It works fine now, guessing something went wrong. This may be coincidental but recently ive noticed a rather large static shock while exiting the vehicle? Even a passenger will give a yell once in awhile.
 












noticed today that 1 of my ignition wires was arching out at the firewall intermittently. surprised it wasnt throwing a check engine light. Could this have anything to do with my static/ electrical problems?
 






I guess it's possible but it's not doing your ignition system any good for sure! I get the static shock all winter when it's cold and dry from my E150.
