2008 Ford Explorer
Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and recently purchased a 2008 Explorer Limited. It came with a factory remote start but no remote entry. I'm wondering if anyone has had success buying (or knows of) an aftermarket all-in-one remote for both the starter and locks?

Thanks in advance!!

I am a dealer and installer for Compustar. Highly recommended over Viper. Where are you located?

Compustar has a lot of remote options, from basic to two way, to Mile range remotes!

My company is a PRO dealer, but not all Compustar dealers are. You can always get Prime at a Compustar dealer though.

If you have questions, just ask!

I'm located in the Twin Cities, MN. I already have a starter but I am looking for a new remote. Does compustar sell something like that as well? Something that will be compatible with the system I already have?

Thanks!

no the ford one button is just that. you need the ford remote for the door locks. have to carry two remotes. if you want one, you need to buy a new system that has everything on one remote.

Check Amazon. You can find the remotes for about $10 and mine have worked well for just under a year. I think you can also find keys that have the entry remote in the 'head' of the key...that way you don't have two remotes...
