I have the same issue and I am looking for a solution.
Malfunctions in the Remote Start System
If the
basic checks haven‘t solved the problem, you may have a
malfunctioning component in your remote start system.
- Remote Start Module: The remote start module is responsible for receiving the signal from your key fob and starting your vehicle. If the module is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
- Wiring Issues: Damaged or loose wiring in the remote start system can prevent it from working properly. Inspect the wiring for any signs of damage and repair or replace any faulty wires.
- Sensors: Some Ford Explorers have sensors that can disable the remote start function, such as the hood sensor or the door ajar sensor. Check these sensors for any malfunctions.
