Remote Start

I have had nothing but luck with the "Ford" remote starters. Which are CodeAlarm. Dealer installed for about $300. They are designed to work with all the factory electronics. I recomend them highly!

Remote Start - 05 Sport Trac Interface with PATS

:us:
I had one installed. $266 after tax. Uses the factory remote (FOB).
Press LOCK three times. (Saw someone had on UNLOCK button, but that seems strange, because you don't want your car running with the doors unlocked - should change to LOCK)

It interfaces with the factory system/alarm (not bypass it). That was the deciding factor.

Dealership wanted to charge $350 +tax (they then sub out) - Found out while getting my cruise control fixed under warranty. Talking to the sales person, he mistaking told me the sub company, so I went directly to the sub to save the $100+.

Talking to the sub company installer tech, he let me see the unit being installed.
And, for the information people want to know...... :)
It is a AutoPage C3-RS603
(Can be purchased for about $70 - Damn)

The tech said he keeps the remotes that come with it and sells them on ebay, so he makes a few bucks.

I did have to bring it back to get it fixed - problem with install in that accesories did not turn on until I inserted the key, but took him an hour to fix.

i have one in my 02 and i use the factory fob still.its set up that you hit the unlock botton 3 times on your factory key fob,and then if you would like to lock it after you have started it just hit the lock botton, and it is set to run for 12mins,and the shut dwn, also i can still use the combo lock on the door..any question please get back to me...the unit was 75bucks and then after it was installed i gave me brother $50 bucks, well worth it..At his shop thay install them for $275.included parts "except thay need a spare key for the blk box""

i hope this helps

That’s what I’m trying to do with my remote start make it work with my 4 button key fob.
Any hints would be helpful…Remote start is a ford or ome.

Thanks,

so i have installed for 15 years and everyone here is using DEI products........i.e. python, aviatal, clifford, viper, hornet. they are all the same company and are the best out there. they have lifetime warranty on the alarm brains. they have the best components and the best range. $250.00 to $450.00 installed is a great price for a superior product. they have new bypasses for the transponder that you dont have to give up a key but you do need to have two keys for programing this bypass. good luck on what ever you pic out.

I've got an Autopage RS-900LCD that I've had installed for about 18 months now.

Best thing ever to have when the temps go from in the 20's in the winter to 110+ in the summers. I've been pretty happy with the range and the remote tells me what the car is doing via the screen on the remote.

Hey everyone, I wanted was wondering if I could get a second set of emplorer owners eyes to take a look at this remote start I found on ebay.
Seems legitimate, but it never hurts to ask if anyone else has used this brand and if they've had any issues

I would see no reason why it would not work. Based on the ad it would.

I just got a Python 991 installed on my truck and i had to buy another key to put in the bypass. too bad i didn't know you were an installed before i paid $280 to have mine installed.....i really wanted and tried to do it myself, but then again, it took 2 professional installers over 3 1/2 hours from the time it went in the garage to the time it came out (i watched from behind the glass doors...it really took them that entire time to get everything right) so maybe i dodged a bullet and a lot of headaches.

Love the unit though. $199.99/unit + $285.60/installation
