Remote starter stopped working with fob

I have a 13 Explorer with a remote starter. I believe it is an aftermarket as it is a separate fob but it still has the Ford logo on it. The remote starter worked well until about a month ago and I have been unsuccessful in finding a way to resync the vehicle and fob. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. As this is my girlfriends daily driver, the sooner i get it figured out the better!!

Does it do anything? Just saying it doesn't work is pretty basic. Sounds like one of the long range OEM kits.

Does the light on the FOB work (its two presses of button BTW)?

Do the lights on the vehicle do anything when you go to remote start it?

Does the vehicle honk at you?

Is the check engine light on?

Yeah I guess that was pretty generic. In my head it made sense. Sorry. The LED on the fob lights up at each press of the button. Ive tried several different combination of pressing the buttons, especially twice. It will not start. If I hold the button in the Explorer honks at me but will not start.
