Has anybody got any ideas on how to increase the range on my door remote, l have put new batteries in it but find i almost have to be standing beside the 97 Limited before it will work

Take some aluminum foil and wrap your remote transmitter in it.

Then take 15-20 paper clips and make a chain out of them, then put the chain on your key ring.

If that does not work, put on rubber sole shoes, (to make sure you are not grounded) then put foil in your shoes and in a bat ball hat shiny side out!!!!!!, and attach the two with more paper clips and with some more paper clips attach the chain to the remote.

That should add a good 30 or 40 yards, good luck!!!!

some people say you can extend the antenns wire in the computer box, but that makes no sence since hte box is calibrated for the wire length... I think the only way to get better range is an aftermarket kit...

aftermarket would be good if i could work out a way to keep my auto seat adjuster.
comes in handy when more than one person drives the car, and i don't want to carry 2 remotes.
