Hopefully I understand your question, but yes, it's bolted to a plastic "box" where your sub is located. Your new system is NOT plug and play though, you won't be able to just plug in your new amp.
BTW, you can't open the grill where the sub is located, you'll need to take off the entire rear panel. It's not that hard, honestly. I think there are a few detailed pix on here of this procedure.
