I have a Pioneer unit with a detachable faceplate in my 94 EX that has a lot of static . I want to change it out but I can't get the unit out . Does anyone know how to remove the stereo ? Thanks

Should just have to pull the DIN out, disconnect the wiring harness and antenna line. Just hope to god whoever put it in didn't cut and hack the stock wiring harness or else you'll wanna shoot yourself.

Most Pioneer headunits come with "removal tools" which are thin flat pieces of metal that slide into the left and right side of the unit to disengage the unit's locking mechanism from the metal sleeve (which holds it in place).

The "tools" look like this:

If you don't have them, you'll have to make some or pull part of the dash to defeat them from the back side.
