Has anyone tried removing the diffuser on the newer diamond crystal clear headlamps? I'm wondering how big of a difference it actually makes.

No, the metal cover thing in front of the bulb.

Oh, If you have the clear ones you can buy them with out the cover. Black ones like mind only come with the cover.

You can take it out but its a bi*ch!

Yea but how much of a difference does it make without the diffuser there?

I'm wondering if it's worth it or not. It looks like there's only two ways to take it out, both a pain in the ass. I can either heat the whole thing up and hope the glue comes loose, and then take the lens off the body. From there, I can just unscrew the diffuser. The other alternative would be to just try and cut the diffuser out through the bulb hole.

My friend has clear with out the cap and I have black with the cap...We have the same light out put, but I have a few more I guess you could say "brighter blinding spots" Where with out the cap its all one tone of even light...

As for the heating it up or cutting it out both would be a bi*ch...What I'm planning on doing is buying another set of just the head light part to exsperment on...
