Removing or trimming air dam

Hi, has anyone removed or trimmed the air dam under the bumper? I want to get more clearance for snow.

Triming it will reduce your fuel economy - that is why it is there and hangs as low as it does.

Removeing that will cause less fuel economy. That's why is there look at you tube videos the ex is in all type of terrain and no one had to remove it. Unless you are going into 50" of snow then you will need big foot lol...
