Removing running board question....

I just removed the running boards on my 2002 Ford explorer xlt...do i have to plug any of the holes in the frame or will i be okay i don't want it to start rusting. Thanks guys

Doesnt hurt to plug them. Or you can just put the bolts back in.

Plug them or even paint them if you are worried about rust.
