Is there really that big of a chance of getting watter in my intake when I remove the little plastic thing from in from of the air intake, just behind the right headlight. I can't see how much, if any water would get up in there, being there's a light in the way, but someone did tell me it would. Should I leave this thing off, or go ahead a remove it and get that 1 or 2 more HP (I'll take all I can get).

I ripped mine off and took my Dremel and cut a big square hole in the front of the airbox. They sit up so high I don't see how water could get in. Mine has the V8, but I definately felt some hp. I would say more like 5 than 1 or 2.

If you have any intentions on getting the KKM filter, just rip it out, you wont need it any how.

By the way, if you werent considering it, please do, you wont be disappointed, its like a whole new truck.
