removing vent visors?

hey all,

one of my vent visors (the in-channel kind) cracked today, i think i want to take it off and put on a new one.

is there some specific way to remove them without doing any damage? or do i just rip them outta there?

You just take them off carefully, it shouldn't mess up the paint or anything.

It shouldn't 'coz it's the "in channel" kind. I would use a flat screwdriver to separate them from whatever they're stuck on (I think they are called felt liner) and work your way up. If its been there awhile then it should come off easily from all the accumulated dirt up in there.
