I replaced my A/C accumulator on Shamrock today, while recharging and doing a general A/C tuneup. The new one does not have the insulation, and I know that Ford did away with it in later Gen II's anyway.
I take it that the heat from the engine will not adversely affect the performance of the system? I'd prefer to not replace it, since all it seems to do is hold moisture... Is that a general consensus? Leave it nude?
