Replace Rear View Mirror

Ok this is driving me nuts...i should be able to do this but i cant figure out how to get the metal tab off of the rear view mirror. yesterday it was sitting on my dash (i guess from the heat) and to re-attach it to the window i need to remove the tab but neither i nor anyone at work can figure this out. any help? its from a 92 Explorer and seems to be standard. it has a little opening on the top which looks like something may go inthere to unlock it but i am clueless. thanks!

Put a small little standard screwdiver in that slot to push the locking tab in and the window mount should just slide right out.... mine was a little difficult to get out
