ok, I'm kinda frustrated, so ANY help with this prob is MUCH appreciated. I just replaced my Mod. valve today after school and it was a friggin B**** to get to!! But finally after 3.5 hours I got it replaced. So I top off my tranny fluid (one last time I hope) and I take a trip down the road.
Well no more slipping when accelerating from a stop! Goes through 1st fine. Then it gets about time to shift to 2nd and it revs really high, then goes to 2nd. All though 2nd it feels like the TC is barely engaged b/c I'm getting very little acceleration on my way to 3rd. So I stomp it and it acts like it'l downshift and it just revs up to over 4k still without any real acceleration. So even though it doesn't slip going into drive anymore, it's still worse than before!
Here's what I think is wrong: I had another guy helping me that supposedly knew what he was doing (I've always known him to). I told him about the little pin that you're supposed to reuse and he said that this new one already has one in it so I didn't have to worry about it. So I just went along with him ant trusted his knowledge.
So do you guys think that he's right? I didn't see where you could put any little pin into that valve so I have no idea where it goes.
Also, I don't think that valve is an "adjustable" valve b/c I didn't see any wheel or screw on it that I could adjust. So it should be set to opperate exactly like the factory one, right? Sorry for the long-ass post, but I need all the help i can get with this thing so I don't end up havin to get a friggin rebuild.
