Did I get my moneys worth out of it or what? My '91 failed to start after work this past Tues., so my wife came and got me, 35 miles from home. I took the next day off but couldn't get back down there until the afternoon. She went with me and I all the tools and stuff I needed, including my creeper. It was about 96 degrees out and the pavement had to 140, she told me to get out from under there and call a tow truck. I went a found an auto electric shop that was about 4 miles away and had it towed there. The tow cost me $50 but my insurance will pay $25 of it. He replaced the starter, labor and all for $146. The guys been there for 29 years and I couldn't ask for better price or service. Since it might be considered advertising I won't mention the name but if you're ever in Charlotte, NC and need some electrical work drop me an email, 9littleherefordsatearthlink.net replace the at with @. These guys will treat you right, not the cleanest place in the world but people around say he's the best. They rebuild their own stuff from what I was told. They do everything from small cars to big rigs. The starter was going to be $115 at Autozone , there's no way I would crawl under there to save $30. Ford dealer wanted $375 to tow it and replace the starter.

It'd fine if you want to give the guy a plug. We all need to know where the good shops are.
